2. Fees and Sentiment:

   • Traders paid hefty fees, up to 0.5% every eight hours, to maintain long positions.

   • Shifting sentiment led to a market drop, with nearly 90% of bullish bets liquidated.

3. Back to Normal:

   • Liquidations signaled a possible market turning point.

   • Funding rates have returned to typical levels, around 0.01% on most exchanges.

4. Positive Signs:

   • Despite the turbulence, crypto markets gained 6% last week.

   • Expectations of a U.S. Bitcoin ETF approval and BlackRock's Ethereum (ETH) ETF filing added to the optimism.
